Question (1)

Why is it so hard to do what's right sometimes?

  1. I have an idea. I dont have a simple answer but I got something which might stir your thought.

You know that feeling you get when you have to tell someone the truth because its the right thing to do, but everything else in your body says not to? And It's not that you will get in trouble or that the relationship will get worse, its just that you dont want to face the music. The feeling gets worse when you fight it. The more you fight it, the more you get resistance. You know that feeling, that quivering resistance?

Its a self-destructive bitch. But its a part of you.
And the less you fight it, the longer you will stay depressed. If you can't do whats right, the only option is to do whats wrong. Usually our motives for doing something wrong, are based in lies.

Lies are what depression is made of. The downwards spiral is based off of the lies you tell yourself, actions based off the lies, and reaction to those actions, which in turn create more lies.

(I can draw you a diagram)

Essentially, based off of logic, I have figured that there is something within in us which brings us naturally to depression. Something within us that defies what we ought to do. Maybe its sin, maybe its because we wont let go, maybe its just because life is fucked up.

But I wouldn't leave you without something to help you fight this.

Did you know that we have a part of our brain just built for cognitive defiance? It allows us to fast, to stay up endlessly, to defy instinct.

You can do what's right. You just need a lil guts, and some truth.

Theres spiral downwards and a spiral upwards. The upwards spiral is based on truth.

And we have an inclination to doing whats right to counter our inclination to do what we ought not to.

And community helps too. And so does God. He's good.

    You know what.

    Heres my phonenumber. 512-350-0671.
Call me if you wanna talk about anything. Or not, Its watevs. Just seek truth. And shed your pride, it helps to.
